Dr. Amy Wallingford
President, Treasurer
Amy is the owner and sole provider of Wallingford Wellness, LLC. She has dedicated her life to helping others. First, as a Respiratory Therapist, then as a Registered Nurse and Asthma Educator, and now as a Nurse Practitioner. Amy completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2020 and is working as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Amy was born and raised in Pennsylvania but traveled to Nebraska as a locum tenen Respiratory Therapist in 1999. She met Jamie and they married in 2000. They have two sons, Guy and Kael, who are Board Members of Wallingford Foundation.
In addition to their sons, Amy and her family host international exchange students. They have hosted exchange sons from Japan, Norway, Germany, and soon from Italy.
In her free time, Amy enjoys reading, bicycling, and cookie decorating.
Jamie Wallingford
Vice President
Jamie is the sole owner of Pithy Platypus, LLC; an IT Consulting firm that specializes in custom programming and solution consulting. He has been in Information Technology for over 25 years.
Jamie was born and raised in Bellevue, Nebraska. With the exception of a few years in Ohio after he and Amy first met, he has lived in Nebraska his whole life surrounded by a large and boisterous extended family.
Jamie has two sons, Guy and Kael, who are additional Board Members of Wallingford Foundation.
In addition to their sons, Jamie and his family host international exchange students. They have hosted exchange sons from Japan, Norway, Germany, and soon from Italy.
In his free time, Jamie enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, bicycling, and reading.
Guy Wallingford
Secretary
Guy is a 2020 graduate of Papillion-Lavista South High School and recipient of UNO’s Regent Scholarship. He participated in the Authentic College & Career Experiences for Student Success (ACCESS) program earning college credits while still in high school. He began his secondary education at UNO as a Math Major. Along with his responsibilities at Wallingford Foundation, he is working and exploring future career and growth opportunities.
Guy was born in Ohio but raised in Nebraska since he was 15 months old. His family hosts international exchange students and he has exchange brothers from Japan, Norway, Germany, and soon from Italy.
In his free time, Guy enjoys blacksmithing and video games.
Kael Wallingford
Youth Member
Kael is a Junior at Papillion-Lavista South High School enrolled in the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Pathway in the Health Systems Academy. His long-term focus is on Biomedical Engineering and Prosthetics.
Kael was born and raised in Papillion, Nebraska. He is a music lover and has participated in both band and show choir. He enjoys working with his hands and can often be found in the garage working on various projects; blacksmithing, whittling, or wood carving.
Kael and his family hosts international exchange students and he has exchange brothers from Japan, Norway, Germany, and soon from Italy.
In his free time, Kael enjoys working with his hands, video games, and music.
